Schrijvershof is growing, not only in the field of quality control, food safety and sustainability, but also in sales and volume. That’s why Schrijvershof thinks it can’t achieve its ambitions for the future in its current offices in Oud-Beijerland, a small town in the countryside near Rotterdam. Therefore the company has decided to find a new business location, one where Schrijvershof is ready for the future.
Cool Port is that new location, centrally located in the Eemhaven port in Rotterdam. Cool Port entails not only a new cold-storage facility, but also the total redevelopment of the area around the Waalhaven/Eemhaven harbours in Rotterdam. There is a container terminal, an empty depot for container equipment, a rail terminal and a connection to the A 15 motorway. This gives Cool Port direct and multimodal connections to the deep-sea ports on the Maasvlakte, the surrounding Greenports and the European hinterland.
